Often times, when we finish our workout we just wish to leave for home and spend the rest of the night as quietly as possible. While this attitude is perfectly understandable (especially when it comes to people who work really hard in the gym), it is not very healthy. Cooling down after an intense effort is just as important as warming up. It keeps you safe from injury and it offers your body the chance to go back to its regular functioning. So, next time you’re at the gym, spend an extra 5-10 minutes cooling down. and allowing your heart rhythm to go back to normal.
